With that being said it’s always important to think about these aspects and pre-decide what you are looking for. This will not only help you be safe and happy with you purchase but also can save you money.
Age of rider is likely the biggest factor when choosing equipment and much of these options are broken down into various age groups. Choosing to big of an ATV can be dangerous but too small can be more costly down the road.
Skill level is our next category. With less experienced riders you may want to consider something that offers more protection such as a gokart which comes with restraints and roll cage. Gokarts are my favorite recommendation for new riders and is a great way to help them with hand eye coordination so they can eventually move up.
For those of us experienced riders the options are endless and comes down more to personal preference than anything. Anything from full size gokarts and atvs to 1000cc side by sides. It’s easy to get carried away so in this case it’s usually budget dependent.
Lastly, always take your time and shop around. Choose a dealer that offers in house warranty work and full service. We’ve heard too many stories of chain store bought gokarts that are impossible to get repaired under warranty or to get parts for. A dealership is only as good as the people that operate it.
